Foodgasm 2.0

The turnout at Foodgasm which was a 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. affair was overwhelming, to say the least. While there were long strings of complaints, namely

• from festival attendees: the lack of water in the WC and the illogical organisation of the monopoly beverage stands;
• from local Taman Tun-ians: the insane traffic gridlock and inconsiderate parking;
• from stall owners: the overpromised supply of electricity;
• from everyone: the heat (!);

we think it is safe to say that this event was successful in allowing people to put forth their best pots, woks and forks and in some way, enjoy themselves.

We hear from regular bootcampers at the venue that there was loads of trash left after that. Shame on everyone for that, attendees, stall owners and organisers alike! 

However, we understand all organisers learn from past events and we hope that such a good platform surely sprouted from good intentions. 

Enough about event analysis and onwards to some of the other food we saw that day!
